The fix is a simple routine: wash the boat and trailer and flush the motor after every trip. Each Marine Kit has what you need for that routine.

Wash the boat and trailer — Hook the Hose End Sprayer to a garden hose and spray. It mixes Salts Gone® with the water for you.

Flush the motor — The Motor Flush Attachment lets you run Salts Gone® through your outboard’s flush after the wash.

How to Use It

Use It With or Without Running Water

With a hose

Hose End Sprayer: attach it to a garden hose and spray the boat, trailer, and gear. No measuring.
Pressure washers and injector boxes: draw Salts Gone® through the siphon or injector.

Without a hose

Pump sprayer: premix 1.28 oz of Salts Gone® per gallon of water (1:100). The Mobile Kit includes one.

Flush the motor

Use the Motor Flush Attachment to run Salts Gone® through your outboard after you wash.

If you wash often or have a bigger boat, the 2-gallon kits give you more Salts Gone®. Pick the Mobile Kit if you sometimes wash without a hose, since it adds a Pump Sprayer.

Salts Gone® is pH neutral and safe on wax and ceramic coatings. Boaters use it on gelcoat, paint, glass, metal, trailers, rods, reels, and outboards. If you’re not sure about a surface, test a small spot first or contact us.

Not with the Hose End Sprayer. It mixes for you. With a pump sprayer, injector, or pressure washer siphon, dilute at 1:100, which is 1.28 oz of Salts Gone® per gallon of water.

No. Salts Gone® was designed not to emulsify oil, so you can use it on reels, hinges, bearings, and other greased parts without stripping the grease.

No. Salts Gone® is a salt remover, not a rust remover. For rust, look at Rusts Gone.

For salt, no. Spray and rinse. For heavy dirt or grime, a pass with a brush or sponge helps the soap in Salts Gone® do its job.

Usually not. Salts Gone® has surfactants (soap) in it, so it works as your boat wash. For fish blood and guts, add Fishing Wipes.
