Salts Gone®'s product line is designed as a system: remove the salt, convert any existing rust, seal the surface, and maintain the barrier over time.
Three Stages of Corrosion Defense
Each product in the Salts Gone® lineup targets a specific stage of the corrosion cycle. Used together, they provide comprehensive protection.
Stage 1: Salt Removal
Salts Gone®'s chelation formula bonds to sodium and chlorine ions at the molecular level, permanently removing them from metal pores, crevices, and surfaces where water alone cannot reach. This eliminates the primary catalyst that drives 80% of metal corrosion.
Stage 2: Rust Conversion
When existing rust is present, Rusts Gone™ converts iron oxide into a stable iron phosphate compound through a chemical reaction. The converted surface becomes a primer-ready foundation that actually improves coating adhesion compared to bare metal.
Stage 3: Barrier Protection
Under Gone™ (rubberized spray) and Thixo-Coat™ (thixotropic coating) create durable physical barriers that seal metal surfaces from moisture, oxygen, and future salt exposure. Both are flexible, UV-stable, and designed for real-world conditions.

Salts Gone® — The Foundation
Every corrosion protection strategy starts with salt removal. Salts Gone® is the first step for any vehicle, vessel, or piece of equipment exposed to salt — whether from ocean spray, road brine, or de-icing chemicals. Available as a ready-to-use hose-end sprayer, gallon concentrate, and motor flush formula. Safe for all surfaces including paint, gel coat, aluminum, chrome, rubber, and plastic.
Under Gone™ — Rubberized Undercoating
Purpose-built for undercarriages, wheel wells, frame rails, and any surface exposed to road spray and debris. Under Gone™ applies as a rubberized spray that dries to a flexible, textured barrier. It flexes with the substrate, resists stone chips, and won’t crack in temperature extremes. Unlike wax-based undercoatings, it cures rock-hard and will not wash off or melt in summer heat.
Rusts Gone™ — Rust Converter & Encapsulator
For surfaces where rust has already taken hold, Rusts Gone™ chemically converts active iron oxide into a stable, paintable iron phosphate compound. No sandblasting or grinding required — apply directly over rust. The converted surface becomes a superior foundation for topcoats, primer, or additional barrier products like Under Gone™.
Thixo-Coat™ — Thixotropic Surface Protectant
A unique thixotropic coating that applies as a gel but flows into seams, crevices, and hard-to-reach areas before setting up as a durable barrier. Ideal for frame joints, body seams, door sills, and anywhere that spray-applied coatings can’t adequately penetrate. Self-leveling in confined spaces while staying put on vertical surfaces.
